DO YOU FEEL LIKE you’re constantly putting other people first? Do you stop taking care of your own needs, and then end up feeling tired and sick? If so, you’re in need to practice self-care!
I recently hit my own rock bottom in the self-care department. I had been ignoring my own needs (I later realized that it was because I didn’t want to face my own emotional recovery) and putting everyone else’s first. I realized it wasn’t helping anyone by doing this. My body was breaking down, I was tired, and I had terrible joint pain. I had no choice but to put myself first.
How To Practice Self-Care
I committed to a practice that saved me from my self destructive life. I made a commitment I would commit to an act of self-care daily.
Some examples of acts of self-care:
- Taking a bath
- Meditating
- Go for a long walk
- Sitting in stillness
- Get a massage
