BEAUTY ICE CREAM

It’s summer time already and most people think ICE CREAM. I’ve never been one to stomach getting ice cream from an ice cream shop. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love the nostalgic atmosphere and the clean smell an ice cream parlor delivers. But, the thought of everyone digging their hands into the same open ice cream container has never been appealing to me.

Call me crazy, but hey, to each their own?

Now that I’ve given up milk, I just use that excuse to kindly decline when invited to go. I’ve found that saying that gets a better response than I fear icky germ filled hands landing on the scoop of ice cream the universe would surely deliver.

So, what’s an ice cream health conscious gal to do?

Why, make her own, of course!

Now, since I’m also into eating for beauty, I’ve got to add some goodies in there to keep us looking good and smooth too, right?!? Did you even know that you can eat ice cream and be working on your skin at the same time?

And, don’t worry, it tastes good…

Beauty Berry Ice Cream

This beauty ice cream is going all out! Of course I used frozen blueberries as the base of this cool treat. Make sure the berries are organic, as non-organic berries are amongst the worst when it comes to pesticide and herbicide residues.

Blueberries have more antioxidants than green tea and are packed with vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin E. These babies have some amazing benefits for your skin as well; for one thing, eating blueberries can give you youthful looking skin and brighten up dull or sun-damaged skin.

Then, I added an avocado, which helps to give this ice cream a rich, creamy texture. Avocados are full of healthy fats, vitamins, and antioxidants.

Goji berries are one of only two herbs known to promote secretion of human-growth hormone from the pituitary and pineal glands. Healthy growth hormone levels are essential to aging gracefully.

Pearl powder contains compounds that support cell renewal, which makes it perfect for creating beautiful, smooth, elastic skin. It also stimulates superoxide dismutase activity, which can help to prevent dark patches on the skin.

Finally, the Reishi mushroom herb is highly regarded as a beautifying herb in the Chinese system. One of the many magical things this herb does is prevent your hair from losing its natural sheen and fight off premature graying.

Blend it up and add some bee pollen bits on top to protect cells from damage and free radicals.

Now, you could eliminate the pearl powder and goji berries and use a scoop of Moon Juice Beauty Dust  instead. It contains the ingredients: Lycium (Goji) Berry Powder°, Schisandra Berry Powder°, Rehmannia Root Extract, Ashwagandha Root and Leaf Extract°, Amla Berry Extract°,  and Pearl Extract.

These ingredients help the body to preserve collagen protein, helps enhance elasticity of the skin, and antioxidant that helps protect cells from free radical damage.
